The 2008-20089 academic year was again a very busy school year packed with a range of events which included: Key Stage 2 Visit to Ballymoney High School to see a performance of "Bugsy Malone" (2nd December 2008) Visit from members of the Ulster Orchestra (4th December 2008) Key Stage 1 Christmas Concert (9th December 2008) Annual Christmas Fair (10th December 2008) Key Stage 2 Christmas Concert (15th December 2008) Christmas Assembly (19th December 2008) Visit from Santa (19th December 2008) Hush-In /Spell-In (27th February 2009) Official School Opening (12th June 2009) Key Stage 2 Sports' Day (19th June 2009) Foundation and Key Stage 1 Sports' Day (23rd June 2009) Annual Prize Distribution (25th June 2009)

Throughout the year children enjoyed outings to a variety of places including Benone Beach, Treasure Island at the Joey Dunlop Centre, Arkhill Farm, Giant's Causeway, Greenmount, Ulster Folk and Transport Museum and the National Trust Spade Mill. Year 1 children enjoyed a Teddy Bears' Picnic at the Riverside Park. Children from Years 6 & 7 took part in a variety of sporting events including the Springwell Cross Country Competitions, 5 aside football at the Beckett Soccer Academy, Coleraine & District 7 aside football and interschool's netball and badminton matches.
